Team ADC walks to fund diabetes research

ADC staff and doctors walked Saturday in Austin’s Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes.

The walk raises money for the American Diabetes Association, which funds research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes. Team ADC raised more than $500 for the walk.

According to the ADA, 26 million people in the US are living with diabetes. Diabetes can cause serious complications, but it often goes undiagnosed because the symptoms can seem harmless. Symptoms include excessive thirst, weight loss, fatigue and blurry vision.

Team ADC included staff and doctors from many different departments, including Endocrinology, Weight Loss & Health Risk Management, OB/GYN and Podiatry.
