Why not?

Why not?

There is no publicly available rating for this medical professional for one of two reasons: 1) he or she does not see patients during regular business hours or 2) he or she sees patients but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a mimumum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is statistically reliable and a true reflection of patient satisfaction.

ADC Body Composition Testing

ADC announces a new imaging service called Body Composition Testing.  For patients who want to know more than just their weight in assessing their personal health, ADC’s Body Composition Testing provides the following measures.

  • Lean tissue mass
  • Fat tissue mass
  • Percentage of body fat

This complete and accurate measurement of body composition is possible by using the bone density or DEXA (dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) scanner.  The body image patients see results from two energies which scan over the body.  These energies are absorbed at a different rate by the various tissues of the body providing the measurements you see in the patient’s report.  One of the nice things about the test is the ability to monitor changes over time.  The report will graph the change in the three measures above.

Who is an ideal candidate for Body Composition Testing?

Everyone!  This testing is an excellent way for anyone who is beginning a new workout regimen or diet plan and would like to monitor his or her progress accurately.  Often, just knowing your body composition numbers is enough to motivate someone to improve their fitness levels or make beneficial dietary changes.
