ADC was among the organizations who took part in the annual Movember push to raise awareness and money for men’s health issues. The Movember movement has spread worldwide and specifically promotes prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

During the month of November, several male staff members grew out their mustaches, lead by Dr. Joe Volpe, ADC Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

At the end of the month six of the participants competed in a clinic “Movember Smackdown.” Photos of their mustaches were posted and employees were invited to vote with their donations.

Christopher Oliver, from ADC’s purchasing department won with 116 votes, narrowly beating ADC CEO Bob Spurck.

In all, staff members raised $606 dollars for the “Movember Smackdown.”

All donations go to the Livestrong Foundation, a cancer foundation dedicated to raising awareness and increasing outreach.

Congratulations to all of our participants!
