2016 E-Healthcare Leadership Award winner logo 2016ADClinic.com receives Gold and Silver Recognition at 2016 eHealthcare Leadership Awards

Some 230 healthcare organizations, representing a broad industry spectrum, received recognition for their outstanding websites and digital communications at a special presentation in Las Vegas on November 9 during the Twentieth Annual Healthcare Internet Conference.  A total of 116 individuals familiar with healthcare and the Internet judged the entries.

Judges looked at how websites and other digital communications compared with others in their organization’s classification.  They also reviewed entries based on a proprietary multi-point standard of Internet excellence.  The best overall Internet site category, for example, had to address more than 40 factors.

The Austin Diagnostic Clinic’s (ADC) website ADClinic.com received Silver in Best Overall Internet Site for the first time and Gold in Best Healthcare Content for the second year in a row from the e-Healthcare Leadership Awards for 2016.  ADClinic.com received Silver in 2014 for Best Healthcare Content.   “What a thrill to see that the website placed in two categories this year!”, says Rocky Epstein, ADC Marketing and Communication Director.  “There is a lot of collaboration and planning with our doctors, providers and staff to create quality content for the site that is educational and beneficial for  patients and the community. Additionally, we are also constantly revising the site to improve or add functionality for our patients and the public including site responsiveness and adding provider star ratings. Thank you e-Healthcare for recognizing these efforts.”

Winners of platinum, gold, silver, and distinction awards represented 17 industry classifications, from hospitals and health systems to pharmaceutical firms and online health companies.  Awards were given in 15 different categories: Best Mobile Communications, Best Patient Access and Convenience, Best Site Design, Best Healthcare Content, Best Interactive, Best Care/Disease Management, Best Annual or Special Report, Best Special Event Site, Best Doctor Directory, Best Social Networking, Best Rich Media, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Overall Internet Site, Best Intranet, and eHealth Organizational Commitment.

“Competition was especially strong among large hospitals, healthcare systems, physician-focused sites, and managed care organizations,” says Mark Gothberg, eHealthcare Leadership Awards chairman..  Best Healthcare Content, Best Site Design, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Social Networking, and Best Overall Internet Site categories drew the most entries.  There were also a large number of entries in the Best Rich Media, Best Mobile Communications, and Best Doctor Directory categories.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards program was developed and first presented 17 years ago by Health Care Communications, Rye, NY.  The Twentieth Annual Healthcare Internet Conference was sponsored by Greystone.Net, an Atlanta-based strategy firm.
