How to spot dangerous toys

250,000 children are seen in the emergency room each year due to toy injury.

Dr. Daniel Howard, an ADC pediatrician, recently talked about dangerous toys with KXAN’s Brian Sanders.

Dr. Howard looked at improperly labeled toys, choking hazards, and toys that are not sturdy for the age group listed on the product’s package.

He also suggested that parents visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission for useful information about selecting safe toys or reviewing those that have been recalled or are considered dangerous.
