ADC to open clinic in Steiner Ranch

Central Texans who live and work in the Steiner Ranch area will have a new option for health care.

The Austin Diagnostic Clinic plans to open a new clinic location in Steiner Ranch, 2 miles south of the intersection of 2222 and 620.

Dr. Ghassan Salman, CEO, says the new location is expected to be open by the end of 2013. It will have primary care, including family practice and pediatrics, as well as specialty care.

This illustration shows what the future ADC Steiner Ranch clinic will look like.

The Steiner Ranch facility will be located in the Quinlan Crossing shopping center at 5145 RM 620 North. It will be 12,000 square feet and have about 30 exam rooms.

“As the Steiner Ranch neighborhood grows, we will bring different medical specialties to this new location,” Dr. Salman said. “We want ADC Steiner Ranch to provide local residents with the medical specialties they need most for years to come.”

Plans for the clinic include a lab draw station, which provide a convenient location for patients in the are who need lab tests.

“So even if you see your physician at our Main Clinic inside North Austin Medical Center, you can have your blood drawn here [at ADC Steiner Ranch], and the results will be available for us.” said Dr. Paul Moore, ADC Board Chairman and endocrinologist. “It’s going to be a great facility.”

Construction on the building is expected to begin soon.

Please take a look at the physicians’ phone numbers on the website. It is very frustrating to only be shown the appointment line numbers. A call to one of those yields a long wait. And that could be dangerous if someone is trying to get access for a friend or colleague. The main number for each specialty should be included, also the nurses’ line, and the after-hours/emergency number. Thankfully the doctors’ business cards typically have this information.

Websites are supposed to be helpful providers of information. And there is lots of good info on adc’s, but a main reason people go to a website is to get phone numbers.

    Thanks,
    Leslie Bateman

    • Hi Leslie,
Thanks so much for your feedback.
Additional phone numbers can be found on all of ADC’s individual specialty pages. If you click on the specialty from the doctor biography, you will find those number at the top of the page on the right hand side.
That said, I can see how it would be helpful to see all of these numbers on the doctor biographies, and we will look at ways to include them in a way that does not detract from the other important information on those pages.
      Thanks!
