ADC Staff Member Honored for Military Service

Jeff Selby, who works in ADC’s Purchasing department, was recognized for his military service at a recent Round Rock Express game. Despite a possible tropical storm bearing down on the field, the ceremony proceeded. Sergeant Jeff Selby served in the U.S. Army in Germany and for two tours of duty in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait.

He was a Unit Supply Sergeant in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm from September 1990 through May 1991. Early in his career Sergeant Selby earned the parachutist’s badge becoming an airborne paratrooper. He is a recipient of the Army Commendation Award, National Defense Service Award, Southwest Asia Service Medal, 2 Bronze Stars and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.

Sergeant Selby played an integral role in the liberation of Kuwait, helping to drive out the Iraqi Army when it invaded in 1990. His dedicated service, commitment to duty and valor is in keeping with the finest traditions of the United States Military.
