March 20th marks the first day of spring! Whether you are trying to stick with your New Year’s resolution goal or preparing for swimsuit season, here are 5 ways to stick with a healthy routine:

  1. If you’re traveling, bring a cooler. It’s the easiest way to control your food intake and carry healthy snacks. By doing so, it’ll help you avoid convenience foods at the gas station.
  2. Research menus in advance. By doing a quick search on the internet, you’ll find restaurants that serve healthy options. This will encourage you to stick with your nutrition goals and limit the extra calorie consumption.
  3. Carry a reusable water bottle. If you like to drink water cold, use a double-walled, insulated thermos. Also, blender bottles are handy when making a supplement shake. Bonus: reusable water bottles are better for the environment!
  4. Bring portable, low calorie beverages. Protein shakes, unsweetened teas and  zero-calorie drinks are convenient on the road. Protein shakes keep you full, unsweetened teas and zero-calorie drinks keep you hydrated.
  5. Locate fitness centers. Whether you’re on vacation or away for work, staying consistent on your exercise routine is critical to success. Finding a gym, local trail or fitness group will get you one step closer to a healthier routine.
