The Austin Diagnostic Clinic: Let Our Family Care for Your Family

Smoking and Tobacco Policy
Effective November 15, 2007

In conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smoke-Out, most major healthcare facilities in the Austin area will become smoke and tobacco-free as of Thursday, November 15, 2007.

The ADC Board of Directors supports this decision and has voted to include all Austin Diagnostic Clinic places of business in this initiative.

Effective this date, patients, visitors, vendors, staff members and physicians will be prohibited from smoking and using tobacco products not only within the facility, but the surrounding and adjacent grounds of each campus at which ADC operates its business. (*Exceptions noted below) For campuses affected by this policy, the surrounding and adjacent grounds include the designated parking lots and spaces, as well as any and all vehicles parked or operated in the designated parking lots and spaces.

We know that it will take time to communicate this change to our patients and visitors and we thank you in advance for your compliance with this new policy.
