We use digital technology to screen women for breast cancer.
Digital mammography has two advantages over non-digital mammograms.

Radiologists are able to zoom in to tiny details, which means the results are more accurate. - Fast results
Your mammograms are immediately available to the radiologist and your doctor. They are also stored electronically with the rest of your records, so no films can be lost.
