Flu Shots 2010
For ADC adult patients 18 years & older |
About the Flu Shot
Beginning September 1, The Austin Diagnostic Clinic will
administer seasonal flu vaccine to people aged 18 years or older
(parents should contact their pediatrician regarding the
vaccination of children). We do not anticipate a shortage of the
flu vaccine.
The 2010-2011 flu vaccine will protect against three different
flu viruses: an H3N2 virus, an influenza B virus and the H1N1
virus. The CDC recommends flu shots for everyone over the age of
6 months.
Where Can I get a Flu Shot?
Flu shots are available for ADC patients and the general public
at several locations. If you are an ADC patient and have an
appointment with your provider, ask for your flu shot today. If
you are not an ADC patient, please proceed to the nearest ADC
physician’s office and ask to be immunized*.
