The Austin Diagnostic Clinic OB/GYN department and Austin Travis County EMS have partnered to bring the EMS Child Safety Program to you. This free, 3-hour class is designed for expectant parents and parents with a child under 12 months of age. The program will cover:
- Passenger Safety – learn general guidelines and laws governing passenger safety and receive an overview of car seat installation
- Safe Sleep – learn best practices for safe sleeping habits
- Infant/CPR Choking – receive a hands-on education of how to perform CPR or remove a foreign object from your child should a choking incident occur
Wear comfortable clothing. The class is free but limited to the first 15 families to register. Register with Austin Travis Co. EMS.
