Physician Opportunities

The Austin Diagnostic Clinic (ADC), located in the beautiful Texas hill country, is a multi-specialty group practice founded in 1952.  Currently there are 118 physicians on staff, practicing in 25 medical specialties.
Our Main Clinic is located in the north part of the city.  This state of the art facility was constructed in 1995 and houses both the Clinic and North Austin Medical Center Hospital.  Over 100 of the Clinic’s physicians have offices in this building.  In addition to the Main Clinic, ADC has an office in south Austin and west Austin as well as San Marcos, Texas.  Some Clinic services are also provided in Round Rock, Texas and Georgetown, Texas – a short drive north of the Main Clinic.
As a member of ADC’s physician team, you will be asked to sign our standard employment contract. The contract covers negotiated salary, licensure requirements, general duties and responsibilities, etc.  Like many medical group contracts, ours also includes a non-compete clause that specifies a physician cannot establish a practice within 20 miles of our facilities if he/she left the Clinic during the life of the contract.  This portion of the contract is non-negotiable.
Salary and benefits are competitive.  Partnership potential is possible after 1 year of employment.

Austin, the state capital, offers a unique combination of education, recreation and high tech industry.  Fortune Magazine calls it one of the “most livable” cities in the US.
The University of Texas, St. Edward’s University, Concordia College, Southwest Texas State University, Southwestern University, Huston-Tillotson College and Austin Community College all contribute to a well-educated area population.  The public school systems also receive high marks.
What to do in Austin?  Entertainment ranges from UT Longhorn sports to the Austin Symphony and Austin Ballet.  Many call Austin the “live music capital of the world”.  A visit to the famous Sixth Street will confirm.  Weekends on Sixth Street include live music in a variety of venues.  Spend your leisure time water skiing on one of the 7 area lakes or hiking and biking on the miles of city trails.  Play golf on one of the over 50 area courses.  Attend an Austin Toros basketball game; D-League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs or, take the family to a Round Rock Express game; the AAA baseball team for the Houston Astros. Need a weekend away?  Dallas, Houston and San Antonio are just a few hours away.
Explosive growth in the high tech industry during the late 90's earned Austin the nickname the “Silicon Hills” of Texas.  The city is home to Dell, Sematech, 3M, Motorola, Samsung, Tivoli and IBM, just to name a few.  Add all the activities associated with state government and you have a vibrant growing community of over 1 million.
Sorry, no J-1 Visa opportunities are available in our area.
