Myocardial Perfusion Scan with Treadmill Stress
Also called Cardiolite Stress, Thallium Stress, or Cardiolite Treadmill (TMT).

Preparation:  Patient should not eat 4 to 6 hours before examination.  Patient may have some water.  Certain heart medications may be temporarily discontinued.  The physician or his nurse should advise the patient on this. 

Dress:  Patient should bring footwear appropriate for walking or running.  Slippers are not permitted.  Slacks, sweat pants, gym shorts or a skirt for the test is recommended.  One-piece jumpsuits or dresses are not recommended. 

Appointment Length:  Exam time is approximately 2 to 3 1/2 hours. 

What to Bring:  Patients should bring their current medications or a listing of them, with them to their appointment.
