Preparation:
No preparation is required for this exam.
Appointment Length:
It involves two appointments. The patient first arrives
for the injection of a radiotracer, which is
administered into a vein in the arm, and an initial set
of scans. APPT 1 should take approximately 45 minutes.
APPT 2 is scheduled 1 1/2 to 2 hours later for the
second set of scans. This should also take 45 minutes.
