Family Practice is a board certified specialty. It requires three years of
special training after a physician receives their medical degree. This training
focuses on outpatient medicine and includes special training in internal medicine,
pediatrics, dermatology, non-operative gynecology, minor orthopedics, psychiatry, and
many other specialties which allow the family physician to treat the "whole
person."
Although, training covers hospital medicine, we generally do
not manage patients in the hospital.
Instead specialists, internists, and pediatricians, will
manage patient care in the hospital.
To make the most
of your time, free wireless connection is available in
this department at our north clinic.
